Hi! I'm a former Directv subscriber who came to Dish about a calendar month ago. I accept a Hopper 3 and the 52.0 remote and actually similar Dish so far. Always looking to amend my experience, so I have a question near a minor "annoyance".
With my Directv system, when I turned the organization off using my remote, both the receiver and TV turned off with the button of a single push button. With my Dish arrangement, I need to push ane button to plough the Hopper three off and a different button to plow the TV off.
Is this the style it'south supposed to piece of work or practise I need to change something in my set up-up to go both to go off with the push of a single button?

Hello, unfortunately there is no style to make the ability push for the Hopper to simultaneously turn off the TV as well.

Isn't there a Television receiver Power button on the 52.0? That can be programming to turn off the Television but you volition accept to press TWO buttons to turn off both the receiver and the Television receiver. Of course you could simply turn off the TV and not the Dish receiver and only take to press one button.

My HWS doesn't plow my TV off either. It only turns it on and controls the volume.

My H3 does neither with my new Sammy 4K TV, even though CEC is turned on on both.

CEC sucks. When I use my av receiver to alter inputs, the CEC volition search for a point and change the input dorsum to Dish, unless I turn on the input to the desired device before changing the option on the AV receiver. Turning the CEC off, causes bigger issues.

My HWS doesn't turn my TV off either. It simply turns it on and controls the volume.
Dish did that because people complained that they wanted to plow off the Dish receiver, but switch the Tv set for BluRay or streaming and the Dish receiver was turning off the tv.
And so, push two buttons and quit your complaining. You lot tin't have it both means.

Dish did that because people complained that they wanted to turn off the Dish receiver, simply switch the TV for BluRay or streaming and the Dish receiver was turning off the idiot box.
Then, push 2 buttons and quit your lament. Y'all tin can't have information technology both ways.

Ya know...that'due south really not a bad solution. They already accept long printing & brusque press functionality on several other buttons on the new remote, and then information technology wouldn't be an entirely foreign concept.

Yep, that'due south how my Car entertainment system works. Brusque printing turns of radio keeps on navigation. Long press turns off everything. Aforementioned concept.

Um, I wasn't complaining, merely confirming for OP that what he experiences on his H3 is the mode it works on HWS every bit well.
