"If I Never Run into Your Face Again" is a vocal by American pop rock band Maroon v from the June 2008 re-release of the group'southward second studio album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007), which serves as the band'due south fourth and final single from the anthology. It was too included on the June 2008 re-release of Rihanna'southward third studio anthology entitled Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (2008), which also serving as the second unmarried from the reloaded edition of her anthology. The vocal was originally included on the standard version of the band's album without the inclusion of Rihanna. It was written by band members Adam Levine and James Valentine, with production of the vocal helmed by Christopher "Catchy" Stewart, Mike Elizondo, Mark Endert, Marking "Spike" Stent and Maroon v. "If I Never Come across Your Face Again" debuted on the Swiss Singles Chart at number 61 on June 29, 2008, and peaked at number 52 the post-obit week, where it remained in its third week.[20] It debuted on the Austrian Singles Chart at number 67 on September v, 2008, and peaked at number 54 the following week.[21] "If I Never See Your Face Once again" debuted and peaked on the UK Singles Nautical chart at number 28 on June 14, 2008.[22] Over the following 2 weeks, the song descend down the tiptop-forty, before falling out in its 3rd week. The vocal made a re-entry on the chart at number 36 on July 7, 2008.[23] In the United States, the song peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 nautical chart on July 26, 2008.[24] Information technology peaked at number 10 on the Developed Pop Songs chart; number xxx on the Pop Songs nautical chart and 21 on the Hot Digital Songs nautical chart.[24]

The song's accompanying music video was directed by Anthony Mandler,[25] and shot on an indoor soundstage in Castaic, California on April 23, 2008.[25] The concept for the video was "high-stop erotica".[25] In an interview with James Montgomery for MTV News whilst on fix of the music video, Levine provided a summary of what the video would entail, saying: "Information technology'south this kind of ultra-glamorous, photography-based, belatedly-'70s/ early-'80s state of affairs. It'south really stylish and actually beautiful ... Information technology'southward the most choreographed thing I've ever done, because usually I just get up at that place and screw around. Synopsis [edit]

The video begins with the audio of a ticking clock and Levine and Rihanna sitting reverse each other at a table, tapping their easily and staring at i some other. Maroon v showtime to play their instruments as Rihanna sits and watches them. The table and ring scenes are intercut with each other for the start poetry and chorus. In the second verse, Levine and Rihanna announced to debate and try to ignore the other'due south advances. For the final chorus, the pair appear to reconcile, ending with Levine finally giving in to temptation. Japan Tour 2008 video [edit]

Another music video for the song's original version titled Nihon Tour 2008, was released on July 11, 2008 by Amnesty International.[27] The video which is mainly an blithe slideshow with photographs of Maroon 5 heading to Nippon, during the Information technology Won't Be Soon Before Long Tour in March 2008.
